How to catch the legendary bird trio in Platinum

Once you've been to Pal Park, go visit Professor Oak in Eterna City. At that point, Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno will start wandering throughout the Sinnoh region. You will need the Marking Map PokéTch and a Pokémon with the move Mean Look and must be faster than the bird trio, Crobat is a good example and a Pokémon which you will fight with. Bring lots of Ultra balls or Dusk balls if its night time. Now your all ready and set to catch the legendary bird trio on your own!

Catch Zapdos!

When you encounter Zapdos, make sure to use Mean Look right away so it won't flee from you, then switch to a good ground-type Pokémon with some fire-type moves to damage Zapdos to low health (Not too strong moves), a good example may be Camerupt.

Catch Moltres!

When you encounter Moltres, make sure to use Mean Look right away so it won't flee from you, then switch to a good dragon-type Pokémon with some dragon-type moves to damage Moltres to low health (Not too strong moves), a good example may be Dragonite or Garchomp.

Catch Articuno!

When you encounter Articuno, make sure to use Mean Look right away so it won't flee from you, then switch to a good fire-type Pokémon with some fighting-type moves to damage Articuno to low health (Not too strong moves), a good example may be Infernape or Blaziken.
